On 26 June 2026, the Cross-Border Legal Talents Exchange Forum—Reshape, Breakthrough, Lead: The Path to Advancement for Cross-Border Legal Practitioners, co-initiated by Chance Bridge Law Firm and CLECSS, was held at the Beijing Office of Chance Bridge.
As part of the firm’s 15th Anniversary event series, the forum featured distinguished speakers from international law firms, in-house legal teams of leading corporations and legal career development platforms. The speakers shared insights on the career growth of cross-border legal practitioners, the practice of cross-border legal services, and industry trends. The event drew nearly 100 young legal professionals, law students and industry practitioners to participate in the exchange. Ms. Zhu Ning, Managing Partner of Chance Bridge, delivered the opening remarks, while Partner Ms. Chang Zheng served as the moderator.
In the opening address, Ms. Zhu Ning, Managing Partner of Chance Bridge, stated that over the past fifteen years, Chance Bridge has witnessed and participated in the evolution of China’s cross-border legal services, as the sector has moved from catching up to keeping pace with global peers. She emphasized that outstanding cross-border lawyers require not only a solid professional foundation, but also cross-cultural competency, commercial acumen, and the capability to integrate global resources.
Ms. Zhu hoped that this forum would serve as a platform for cross-border legal practitioners at all career stages to communicate openly and inspire one another — enabling the passing on of experience and the broadening of horizons. She also encouraged young legal professionals to pursue lifelong learning amid the evolving industry landscape, continuously sharpening their expertise and building a global mindset.
During the panel discussion, Liao Yufei (Partner and Chief Representative of the Beijing Office at Clifford Chance), Simon Mui (Founder of CLECSS), Yang Xixi (Vice President and General Counsel of Volvo (China) Investment Co., Ltd.), and Zou Yongzhong (Partner of the Corporate Practice at Chance Bridge) shared insights drawing on their practical experience on the career growth of cross-border legal practitioners and industry development trends.
